IMPRESSARIO and AMBER BLACK
It was hard to adjust to such a solitary life as the one lived by a stallion at stud. Especially for the black thoroughbred that she held so dear to her heart. For Impressario was retired now. He had gone through four amazing seasons, and had nothing left to prove. He had recently been inducted in the Hall Of Fame, as was his due. But he was having a hard time not being worked out as often, or being raced. He had seen three mares, all of amazing caliber, but missed his old life. He missed the thrill of winning, missed the thrill of the cameras snapping furiously. He still got press attention, of course, but not as much, and the show-off that he was wanted more.
But all good things had to come to an end. Amber understood that, but she knew it was impossible to explain to the black thoroughbred she led. She had brought him to the racetrack today, and was walking him along the pastures. Ario snorted at each filly he saw and arrogantly began strutting whenever he approached a male. He treated himself like royalty, as he was. But Amber had seen his gaze linger on the track, and the hesitation as he was led away from it. He wasn't used to not being out there, roaring around turns and soaring like he loved to. Amber made a note to work him out soon, and then sighed. So many other horses had been demanding her attention. She wished she could just spend a day with her beloved stallion.
So that's what she would do now. She would lead Ario around, and maybe they would be joined by somebody who wasn't paparazzi. But the odds of that were very slim...
